I had pleasant stay, the place is nicely updated and well-maintained!

Stayed in wheelchair accessible room with the bathroom, coffee, an Illy pod coffee machine, it worked well for me.

The setting was quite great within easy reach of Systrafoss.

Planned to see Kirkjubaejarklaustur major attractions and it was characterful base for visiting all of them. The staff were all service-oriented and competent. The restaurant was very nice for dinner here, I had delicious dishes. The beds were comfortable and the view of the sunrise from my bedroom was incredibly beautiful. The location was perfect, relatively near church floor.

It was a quiet location just next door to the grocery store and the N1 gas station around the corner, cliffs smd hiking trails and Keflavik airport. Also, Systrafoss could be reached without difficulty, 1 km away.

This is surely the best low cost hotel, incredibly helpful staff, functional rooms. They have Wheelchair Accessible rooms with a double bed, 1969's style and care about everyone. The breakfast is generous served with fresh food aplenty and 2 bread rolls, for instance. The location is COMFORTABLE, right off the roundabout in Klaustur.
